Outlook 2010 Search Not Working

When you use instant search on Microsoft outlook 2010, you get the message – No message found. Either you get some of the expected results. If you look at the Indexing status dialog in outlook, you might see the message that search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. It occurs even if you include the search criteria for items which do not match and windows desktop search is configured to index the Outlook data (.pst) file or offline Outlook data(.ost) file. Select in the search box.
Then, select search > search tools > Indexing status.
When the Indexing status dialog box appears, it shows you number of items remaining to be indexed. If you see that zero items are remaining, then Indexing is complete otherwise wait for indexing to get completed.

Method2. Configure your Indexing options correctly
When outlook is installed, .msg file type is associated with the Office outlook MSG I Filter. This filter lets WDS index items which are stored in Outlook data (.pst) and Offline outlook data (.ost) files. Outlook uses only Outlook data (.ost) file when the profile is configured well to connect to a Microsoft exchange account which has enabled cached exchange mode. If you have an outlook which is configured already to use an exchange account which has use cached exchange mode enabled or you are using a non exchange email account which uses a .pst file, then follow the steps given below for making sure that all the indexing options are configured correctly.
Exit outlook.
Open the Indexing options.
In the indexing options dialog box, select Advanced.
Choose the file types tab.
Scroll down until you find msg in the extension column.
Selct msg.
Make sure that indexing properties and files contents option is enabled.
Select OK.
Select Close.
Make sure Filter description column shows Office OUTLOOK MSG Ifilter. If the filter description column does not show OFFICE OUTLOOK MSG FILTER either the windows search service is not working correctly or Microsoft outlook could not install the filters properly.
